Feng Shui experts in Singapore, Master Andy Tan engaged us to revamp their website. The Website consists of 2 parts a Corporate website (WordPress) and an installation of Magento eCommerce shop component.
We assessed their website and found that the website connection speed is slow. Requiring 8 – 10 seconds before we get a response from the web server! Additionally, the website was not mobile friendly at all. You can imagine the negative effects to User Experience and Search Engine Results.
EADC helped CMC Centre website redesign while carefully maintaining existing content structure. We transformed the website to mobile friendly and revamped design to highlight their various Feng Shui services, articles and content. And after a detailed keyword research, we made improvements on the website content to include a keyword rich internal linking strategy and images alt tag. Additionally we identified and removed low value pages with competing keywords.
The website is based on WordPress and to power the eCommerce store, we used WooCommerce plugin instead of Magento. Removing the need to manage 2 different websites. And to address the slow connection speed, we advised CM Centre to use a reliable Web Hosting company instead. You see, when website connection speed (server is not connected yet) is slow, 90% of the time its due to the Hosting company having a bad uplink. This is before TTFB is even in the picture.
The result is a clean website design with a focus on content readability and organic search engine results. Post development, we optimised the speed of the website. Today, the website loads admirably fast with connection speed of less than 20ms and TTFB of less than 200ms.
